Dr Az Hakeem (MBBS MSc FRCPsych M.IGA) is Consultant Psychiatrist & Psychotherapist, for borderline personality disorders.
Works as a Consultant Psychiatrist in Private Practice to the Media, and within the NHS. Trained in both forensic psychiatry and psychotherapy, he treats on some of these health conditions: depression, anxiety and other emotional problems; interpersonal and relationship difficulties; problems relating to sex, gender, and sexuality.
Since 2001 runs the UK Specialist Psychotherapy Service for people with gender identity disorders.
